When we think about cello music and Latin-America, there are two or three names that always come to mind: Villa-Lobos, Piazzolla, Ginastera, and who else? In this presentation I intend to give an account of my experience with the work of some excellent and still lesser known Latin-American composers to provide a window to a rich but underexplored area of the repertoire that we can enjoy as performers and use as teachers.
